Re: 2008 CJ sold for 50k
Sounds like the SS 454" trucks when they came out in 1990. Except, they never came back up.

Re: 2008 CJ sold for 50k
50k sounds like a steal to me if you want to race the car . Does anyone no what # the car was or is it in fact a clone ? . I paid 68k in June 2011 for mine but got 10k in extra parts so if it's a real CJ sold at auction price seems right . Not sure but I think they sold new for 72k so they lost 30% in 4 years . Guess that not bad since if you bought a new car and sold it in 4 year i think you would lose 60% of it's value
Maybe the new 10.30 index hurt the value , last year it was a 1-1.20 under car now it's .70 - .90 under car . |
Re: 2008 CJ sold for 50k
No, it is not the 60's all over again. Part of the message for these new cars was that they would appreciate in value, not perform a nose dive in value. The 60's cars will always be the kings, just like Hendrix, Joplin and the aged Stones. Anyone or anything that tries to copy these icons will always be just that. A big fat copy.

Re: 2008 CJ sold for 50k
Did these get bought as an investment which would go up in value or did they get bought to race the living hell out of them
Don't forget the old quote "if you want to end up with a million dollars from racing - start with two million" LMAO :-) peace |
Re: 2008 CJ sold for 50k
I think you meant if you want to have a million leftover then start with 2 million:)
