Re: Chevy 2 rear leafs??

I got my pieces made. Just need to Tack them in place. Should I bolt it together then tack the outer washer to the shackle? My inner washer is made to barely fit in pocket. I made mine just as Paul described. Thanx for all the info guys it is much appreciated. I will post a pic of it later. Job was easy after i got the general idea of what i was trying to do.

Being an Autobody guy it is my feeling that parts should be fit together before they are welded, once it is all tacked together or welded as much as possible take it apart and finish what cant be reached

I'm glad it worked out for you. I haven't tacked mine in because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get the bolt out if the washer can't move, since the bolt hits the inner rocker panel. I'll look it over again this weekend when the car comes home.

I believe you are correct, hence the reason for the moveable outer hole..
It's been a while...but I wouldn't weld anything just yet..

flip the bolt around, put it in from the inside going outward. Worked on my car with no issues, if I remember correctly

I made mine to where they dont have to be welded in. The bolt will come out just tough. I think after I get it bolted together I am gonna just give it a couple small tack welds in case removal is necassary down the road. worked out great. I found a small issue with a bushing so I cant finish the job till I receive my parts from calvert.
As soon as i get this back together you all can help me twist on these cal tracs.lol new front springs and 90 10 shocks today.

I am still using the factory shoulder bolt. It appeared to be in good condition still
