I got to meet John and Jimmy when my uncle Kenny raced with them.Truly two of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and to John.

Re: Jimmy Blankenship Sad News

Jimmy came to our rescue a few years ago. At that time I was in a walking boot just getting over my broken ankle. My wife and I were on our way home from a Florida vacation and coming through Nashville when the engine in my van decided to quit running. I coasted off the interstate up a ramp. Making a few phone calls, I found that I was only two exits from John's car lot. Jimmy soon arrived with test tools in hand and pin pointed the problem. He made a trip to an auto parts store and in no time we were back on the road.

Yes Jimmy will be missed by the many who knew him. Rest in peace my friend.

That's exactly the kind of guy Jimmy was. I knew Jimmy for nearly 35 years. We will surely miss him.
