Re: Coming home for Bowling Green and Indy...
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I've got some major withdraws going on and need a dose of racing to get my fix.
Joe, Larry and Patsy I'll defiantly be looking for you. Captain Jack, Thanks for offering up everyones beverages for me :D I'm sure they will appreciate it. You're right at that rate I wouldn't need a room I would be passed out down by the river somewhere :D Greg, I'll check out the Hampton Inn. Thanks for the heads up. Daniel, I talked with the track personnel about renting one of their RV/campers they have for a night but its a two night minimum so that doesn't really work for me. I would tent camp, I'm sure my 7 year would love that but I think my 70 year old Dad would prefer a real bed. By the way if anybody is short handed at these races and could use some help just say the word. I would be more than willing to help someone out. Especially any stick cars :D sorry I don't know how to drive automatics. |
Re: Coming home for Bowling Green and Indy...
Kris, glad to hear you"re coming back for the best time of the year. Dad and I will be going to Indy on Friday if you want to drive together.
Let me know if you want to come out to the garage to checkout the updates on the Falcon, let me know. Browell should be done with the new bellhousing by then. Be safe. Ken |
Re: Coming home for Bowling Green and Indy...
There is a Country Hearth Inn just off of exit 28, about 2 miles from the track. Never stayed there but drive by it all the time, looks like a nice place. Also a brand new Super 8 just across the street.

Re: Coming home for Bowling Green and Indy...
I've stayed at the La Quinta on exit 22, practically new with very nice amenities. Think they have a good government rate for servicemen as well...

Re: Coming home for Bowling Green and Indy...
Thanks Jim and Brandon for the heads up I was able to get a room at the Courtyard Marriott. Hopefully that as nice as it looks on their website. They also have government rates and with me being a government contractor I was able to get the rate.
Kenny, As of right now I'm planning on going up to Indy on Thursday for stock class and spending the night. If those plans change I'll let you know. I would like to check out the updates on the Falcon and see that new bell. Sounds pretty cool! |
