Jack: What is the current schedule looking like?
I can't get down until Saturday night, so Sunday spectating is my best bet.
If I do make it on Sunday, can I assume a dozen assorted??
Fresh of course.

New faces - would you believe Wally Clark is here ? Welcome back to the tour Wally .........

Qualifing to begin shortly ..........later .

There's been a Wally sighting?? Probably ran out of some "Stateside only" item that normally lives in his fridge. :p

Jimmie - At this time I'd say Sunday is looking better than Saturday ....

Hello Everyone!

It was a warm one here today. Almost as hot and humid as Atco a couple weeks ago. Weather for the 2nd stock qualifier was:

85 Degrees
29.50 Barometer (terrible for Cecil)
Very light cross/headwind
DA 3105'

Most I talked to were .05 to .07 quicker than Atco, mostly due to the downhill nature of Cecil.

New track surface is much better than it was previously. It is a little bumpy, but that should be corrected when the perform track grinding in the future. Right lane seems bumpiest in the middle of the track and left lane is bumpy around 1000'. Traction was fine and bumps weren't bad enough to cause any issues (at least in a low 10 second Stocker).

Looks like everyone was going to get a 3rd hit today. I personally skipped it due to some work obligations. The sheet for Stock is up on DRC and it looks like some picked up in the 3rd session.

It was very cool to see the ATI COPO Camaro today in Super Stock. Made a pretty stout first pass.

No pictures from me today, but I'll see what I can do tomorrow...

Finally, a special shout out to Joe Fasano and Steve Calabro for allowing me to use their '69 Camaro Stocker again. Very much appreciated!

This 62 Belair just struck my fancy. I couldn't find it on the qualifying sheet until the third session, where it is listed as Denny Ford's 69 Camaro.

It may not be the oldest car in competition. There is also a 62 Polara on the grounds.

Good to see Denny has completed the changeover of the car to stock. He has owned and raced the car with a 409 for a number of years in nostalgia classes. Nice to see a 409 in traditional stock. Congrats to Denny

Man, I would love to see my old friend Denny at Bowling Green next weekend. There used to be a ton of d1 cars at BG . Last year there were less than a handful.
