Come on guys, Jesse Kershaw is congratulating the Cobra Jets teams, in no way does it diminish the old Fords and the drivers and their performance. You guys are taking it way to personal. All of the the old cars are a big part of Ford Racing history, but Ford Racing is all about making new history with its current offerings. I have an old Ford also, and have no issues and don’t take it personal with Jesse congratulating the new teams and how well the new cars are doing.

Ed, please start your own thread about hp ratings, this is not the place for it.

X2
No reason for this always to become an old car vs. new car battle. I'm sure Jesse appreciates all of the Fords that are running well but the emphasis is on the new ones. Last I checked Ford doesn't sell FE or Lima engines any longer.....

Jeff, did you get the record in SS/F this past weekend in Baytown? That mustang hauls butt!

Yes I did. Was #1 Qal set record 9.220 @ 144.27, record back in the Ford camp for now.
Should have been a teen but couldn't get that good straight hooked up pass in. Broke a tranny on back up run had to use spare that wasn't clutchless and had wrong gearing for this combo.

Just to clear things up I have no problem with the New Cobra Jets, I think they are pretty cool. Would like to put my FE in one.

Excuse my lack of Ford knowledge, but what does FE stand for?

Hey Darrin,
from what I understand FE stands for Ford Edsel.
That's a sweet Chevy 2

See you at the races,
Wayne Kerr
