I took that picture, on my honeymoon... At the '72 U.S. Nats in Indy..... We are still together, and I still have the original (along with many others) picture.

Re: 1972 remlinger olds
i own that car it sit's in my man cave next to my 71 W30 442.it still has the old roll bar sun tach heater all the stock inter.it was in storage for 28 years in 2007 jerry jr bought it back from the owner that jim wheeler sold it to in 1974. it still had the stock elem motor in it no trans or drive shaft.jerry still had a W30 engine in the crate that came from olds in 1972 we took the engine apart honed it and put new rings the cyls were rusted from sitting for all of those years.jerry had no place to keep it. so i bought it.in 1974 i towed the car for wheeler to the gatornatlonals behind my ramp truck.and as they say the rest is history.i have pics of it on my facebook page.i still can't get the pics to come up on the class racer page.

Re: 1972 remlinger olds
Great looking Olds convertible. It looks like the pattern on the hood matched the other 4-4-2's that Dover used to own as well, the brown '70 and the white '72 hardtops.

Re: 1972 remlinger olds
yes he was a great guy a lot of fun to be with.i will never forget the 1974 gators i had ronnie sox in the third round and i was getting ready for that round dover was my boss at that time and jerry was running around helping me get ready and wheeler said let them get your car ready let's go walk around and calm down and don't let sox rattle you.i was 24 years old at the time and had ice water running through my vaines i said i can't beat the great ronny sox so i just wen't up to the line and killed the tree and when i got it in high gear i was looking in the mirror and i said to myself sox i think your in trouble.and he was i ran 09 under he ran 12 under.and the next round i broke third gear and wen't to high but it wasen't enough.
