Art,

I would recommend the following Autolite Racing plug numbers:

AR3932X or AR3933X

The AR3932X is a colder plug.

Are those 25mm (1") reach with a tapered seat and 5/8 (16mm) hex?
Those are the parameters I need

The specifications show the lengths as follows:

The Champion 470 is 25.5mm (1.00") long.
The Autolite AR3932X is 25mm (0.984) long.

The Autolite plug is also shown as a plug application for the late model Hemi engine.
It may not require adding the washers as you want to.

What's the story on the X plugs? Any performance gains? What is the target market?

Art,

It double checked and the above plug is incorrect.
The confusion stems from your statement for a plug for a 2000 PT Cruiser cylinder head. The PT Cruiser was launched in 2000 as a 2001 model.

So, for a 2000 Neon application, the spark plug is not tapered, it uses a gasket and the above racing plug will work.

You should look at the tapered plug that Rich (quickford1) has available.

To try to answer everybody at once I will try to explain the X plug. It was first used in Nascar because of ground straps burning off or breaking off, they are made by both Autolite& Champion in limited heat ranges and numbers .They are used by just about every team. They are available 708 tapered seat & 3/4 reach gasket seat. The best part is no need to index. These plugs are made in limited runs so are hard to get sometimes.

Got anything equal to an AR473? Indexing taper seat plugs is a pain! May save alot of aggrivation here. Joe

The hottest they make in a X plug is a AR471X-10 it is equal to a 472 or S57C champion.

I happen to run an AR 92 or AR 94. Looks similar in shape and design when it comes to the AR3922 plug other than the tapered seat.

The AR92&AR93 are a .708 reach tapered seat plug ,both are power tip plugs that are good for some HP if you have some piston to plug clearance. 92=472 & 93=473 I have plenty of both.
