Re: Mopar Strut Rods and Bushings
These are for a '65 - '66 mustang (Maier Racing), would they be considered legal?
I wondered about adapting them to my '67. http://i435.photobucket.com/albums/q...pseeaa50c4.jpg |

If I had this problem, I would have made something like this on my lathe, covered them with rubber boots or a carved out bushing , or maybe sprayed them with undercoating, and no one would have ever known the difference. Instead, you want some kind of expensive ,bolt in, bright yellow Jegs or Summit aftermarket part. NHRA take one look ,and sees something that doesn't look like a stock suspension, and says no, and you wonder why. And don't ask me why they bought the anti bump steer Heim deal. We used to have to heat and bend the steering arms. |

No, I don't like the wallet race part of the sport either, but sometimes you need to step back and look at the situation and not cheap it out or apply some barnyard solution when a part designed for the application works best. Nobody has ever said this sport would be cheap. Mark Madison 7995 |
