Re: T350 help
What your next plan? Pull the pan and v/b with the unit in the car?

Re: T350 help
I had an issue a few years ago with a TH-350,tranny worked great when cold, once it was warmed up it acted like it was bound up. Ended up being a leak between the case and the valve body. The valve body bolt holes were stripped out and allowed it to leak. Heli coiled several bolt holes and worked great afterwards. Not an expert, just giving ideas.

Re: T350 help
My trans guy here at the shop suggests the wrong separator plate might be there,and/or gaskets. Is that a' 69 case? Some of those had issues.

Where would I find what year case it is? |
Re: T350 help
Mark, there's a date code cast into most cases, the location varies.

Re: T350 help
68-72 Turbo 350 I believe has the codes stamped in the accumulator cover--- vehicle ID numbers for the vehicle it was originally installed in can be in several places on that trans--that number is not the same as the trans code numbers

Re: T350 help
I pulled the trans this afternoon. He's going to do another case and double check everything. I spoke to Charlie at Hipster, and he said it's a stock gasket, but to make sure all the holes are correct. There's a couple that need to be added and/or enlarged.
I didn't check the date code on the case. Thanks again everyone for the suggestions. We'll see.... |
