Re: IHRA Tech at Pittsburgh
Sterling, I thought IHRA said as long as the piston had the right configuration for the HP claimed they did not care what was done to the bottom end. NHRA has had some piston parties and I have not seen where any combinations have slowed down as a result. Most NHRA racers have been going faster.

Bring a $1000.00 to Piedmont at the end of the month and I'll be glad to let you look at the short block ! Why would you even say that ? The Fast Crate Motor Guy's would be fast in any stock class,,, They work hard on their cars !! |

Re: IHRA Tech at Pittsburgh
Sterling,
You are right , also PS should be checked & torn down ? If they pay to play and win the same amount of money then they should be part of every-teardown ... If you Win you should teardown along with RU. IHRA should invite everyone at least once a year to teardown ? Then everyone can see how much Fun it is when it's 95 degress ? I also agree with Jeff Ross , they need to start looking at more Cars / things ?? |

Re: IHRA Tech at Pittsburgh
So a crate motor car is a bracket car?.....
This is the same old song and dance I have seen on here for years.... I guess a fast CM car is illegal... Why isn't a FI car or a natural car that's fast be considered illegal... Why don't we suggest the fastest CM car and the fastest FI car , PS, and natural classed car tear down at every race from now on.. Then we can all see what's done in the bottom end of those cars.... I'm not implying that every crate motor car is legal or illegal but u can't guarantee that the other classed cars are also.... We have put a stock meaning out of a street car short block with junkyard untouched vortec heads and a aluminum intake with a Holley 750 and went 6.80s at 3200 lbs would not run good in the 1/4 mile with me it went 11.07 but with a 130 lb driver it went 10.56.... As far as tech between N and I,,, no difference besides N looks at the same car and same stuff everytime u go to a race IHRA just does it at the first of the year... |
Re: IHRA Tech at Pittsburgh
Brandon you hit it on the head,if they are going to tear them down at every race I would just stay at home. Hell you still gotta drive um
