What I found interesting was that the aluminum bell by Browell has a SFI 6.1 rating good for 5 years.I believe the Quick Time bell is good for 2 years.I could be wrong.
As far as the aluminum not legal for stock eliminator, this I don't know.

The rules for Stock read

"Steel flywheel shield meeting SFI Spec 6.1 or 9.1 mandatory on all V8 cars with a clutch. Flywheel shield cannot be modified for clutch adjustment and/or cooling holes. "

Then is says to see general regulations where it states

"The use of aluminum bell housing is permitted in all categories and applications. Aluminum bell housing must meet SFI specs. and no modifications to the as-manufactured design are permitted."

I always found it odd that that the only hole they want you to have would direct all shrapnel right at your feet . Seems to me it would be safer for the driver if the bottom was opened ? ---Trevor
