The 1850 picked my 289 up 1 1/2 mph.the
et was almost the same, in back 2 back test. Can not run on the 289 in class races with holley have to run 108 on mustang &112 on comet

Thanks. If I run it as a GT car, I can use the carb for a 68 Cougar 302 which NHRA lists as C8OF-D. Everything else I can find out about it says it's the carb for a 390. The specs are 600 cfm, 1536x1536/1250x1313. Under the Holley Dash rule, I should be able to run the carb in this link:

http://www.holley.com/0-80540-1.asp

Specs are 600cfm, 1536/1229 Slightly smaller, but the rule says cannot exceed.

You don,t have to run the C80F-D on the cougar 302 in gt the 3 i listed are approved & there are some others, if you run in regular super stock you will have to run the autolite on a 68 mustang.

Thanks again. The 1850 is probably a more sensible choice for my first try at the track. The price is right and there are ways to tune it for better performance on the track.

If you have to buy new get the QF carb. A friend has a B/S Camaro, the QF 780 was worth a little over the Holley 780.

I need a 600 cdm carb and I don't think QF makes one I can use.

Thanks

Look at QF SSR-585_VS that was mentioned earlier in the thread by Mr. Hill. The accepted products list shows it as a replacement for a Holley 3367, which has the same dimensions.

That carb is in the QF 2014 catalogue, but I can't seem to find it anywhere to buy. Going to contact QF regarding it.

Thanks,

Dale
