Would Gumout like to add the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals as a contingency-eligible event? Having another premiere event available may make the buy-in more palatable to some. You can find all of the event information on www.looserocker.com

Haha. No kidding. I'd rather go put $200 on black. Your chances of winning are much greater and the payout is better. Plus it only takes about 15 seconds. :)

Are the so called "buy ins" an annual requirement?

203W,

I dont know you, and have no idea of your time in the sport... Dont get your feelings hurt. You are trying to do something good. Nothing is perfect, and people have opinions... But dont quit trying.
I am glad that Gumout is doing something. I lived thru the "good old days" of contingency, and so did a lot of others here. I remember walking the midway and with a driver arm band you would load up a wagon full of free stuff... good stuff too like wires, plugs, oil, gaskets, shirts, all kinds of cleaners, etc...
With every company that comes back, no matter how, maybe it is getting us a little closer to where we were 20 years ago. We can only hope.
I have not ran a NHRA national in over 10 years... still run some IHRA stuff, and who knows what in the future. So, some might say I dont have a dog in the fight, but I still pay my dues and still race some.
I agree with some of those posted, that $200 worth of cleaner is a lot to store. Maybe you could cut that in half, and get over twice the number of people involved??? Still would have some fuss, ( some people fuss about free icecream ) but who knows? End of the day, it is up to the company involved, and we should just be glad there are some there.

Most accurate statement on all these post yet, is "better to go put $200 on black" for most of us! LOL

I think it is a good deal. Put one case in your trailer and sell the other cases to your auto repair shop. Thanks Gumout

ps I would bet that Dan was the first to put up his money.

I appreciate Gumout coming on board.and they cut a check at the track.
Hey Ken any chance of you getting Mike to stop pushing the class national on every post..I mean isn't this like pushing product? This is a glorified bracket race to make money..Just my opinion ..

Let me be the first to apologize for trying to do something for the racers that hasn't been done in over twelve years. I will limit references to the event to within the confines of the existing relevant threads.

Damn, man. Periods are your friends. Don't be afraid to use one or two now and again. Comma's are cool, too.
