Re: race gas
Sunoco blue is what we use with no check problems.

Re: race gas
Thanks for the replies everyone; No one should have to go through what we went through at Sportsnat's. The real kicker on the deal is when she finally gave in and bought the 16.dollar a gallon gas, they told her it barely would pass and she needed to get some different gas. She said she felt like reaching through the window and jerking the guys hair out. In the future we're going with Sunoco and be done with it.

Re: race gas
Just last week I paid 98.50 plus tax for 5 gallons of C-11 at VP's Terra Haute location. Vaseline was not included. I was going through some old receipts a couple weeks ago. The VP I use in my bracket car has gone from 300 dollars a drum 8 years ago to almost a grand now. Needless to say I switched it over to Renegade 110. Probably stay with the expensive stuff for my new stocker since I wont be running it much this year.

Re: race gas
The Renegade Pro 110 actually has almost the same specs as the C-12. You're getting a lot for your money.

Re: race gas
Rockett 112 is $467 a drum.

Re: race gas
Sunocco Purple works great.

Re: race gas
I use Sunoco 110, its light blue and I pass the fuel check.
The price went down from last year $ 7.79 to $ 7.59 a gallon.;) |
Re: race gas
Two Shell stations in the area have been selling "race gas" from pumps marked CAM 2, for between $7.45 and $8.50 @ gallon. Since it's no longer on the accepted list I haven't tried to use it any of the NHRA races, but I've been told that it's formulated the same as the Sunoco Blue.
The speed shop down the street sells Renegade 110 to the circle track folks for $8.00 @ gallon, hand pumped out of a 55-gallon drum. That works for me! |
