I just got the car back from the paint shop a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure if I will have all the parts to put it back together before the race. I'm waiting for the bumper and new trany parts. The car is a 67 400hp tri-power.

Funny you should say that. Wendy and I drove the car to a car show a couple weeks ago about 5 miles from the house. On the way home, on flat ground, I clicked the DIC on to check the gas mileage. At 65mph it was getting 26mpg! That is with a Yank SS4000, 3.90 gear, and 27" drag radial. What's sad is that the best gas mileage vehicle we own! Our motorhome gets 6mpg towing. :(

Very cool car! Can't wait to see it complete in race trim and hear what it runs. Definitely unique. Will we see a 10-second Pure Stocker?

I'm a long way off of the 10-second run. Had the car out last fall in good air and went 11.42 @ 120 mph.

That's still one of, if not the fastest, Pure Stocker. We went 11.58 in nice fall air as well about 150 lbs. over B weight. Since then too I found out our cam is much smaller than it could be to be legal. Oh well; live and learn.
