It took a little effort to get them in. I figured it would wear down once I got some time on them but it still continues to drag after 2 seasons now. Though I haven't been racing much over the last couple of years.

One thing you might try is loosen the m/c from the firewall to see if the rod is fully retracting...with the fronts off the floor you can spin the wheels to see if there is any improvement. Using an aftermarket m/c and/or a lengthened brake rod? I recently had to remove the front pads on my partner's '66 Nova and take a DA sander with 80 grit to them to alleviate the same problem.

It's for a 1969 Nova with a 396/350
Stock master cylinder.

Take them off and grind them down a little. Costs nothing to try and it worked for my buddy's Nova.

Small GM transmission spring in between the pads held in with the willwood cotter pin. No more drag

For those not wanting to use a Mopar Master Cylinder, NAPA part number M2456 is a "Lightweight" Master cylinder that is a bolt in replacement for the heavier cast iron version.
