When it comes to coil springs, front and rear, we stock and sell products that already work, and are not super expensive. I dont want to speculate how much R&D Dad has done over the last 40 some odd years with nothing more than stock replacement components.

I would say unless you are going to be more specialized like the Moroso or Eibach, it would not really be worth your time with the R&D.

Just my opinion of course.

Moroso front springs are all we have ever used...no idea where to start with the Santuff's. We have always had to cut at least one coil on the Moroso's to get a decent ride height and to prevent bowing of the spring. With that set there is always a probability of one or both springs collapsing...this usually happens soon after install if it is going to happen at all. The latest set has 1-1/2 coils cut...sagging a little now but still acceptable. About 1690 pounds on the front of this car w/driver and small block.

It used to be that front springs were a one time purchase without much thought given to replacement. Moroso was the only choice forever. Observant racers have tried some alternatives that were much better than the typical spring that required cutting and often ended up too stiff. Different cars have different needs. While some cars have off of the shelf items that work, there are many cars out there that would benefit from a custom spring.
We tried different springs and found a set that was awesome for our car, but difficult to fit yes. I also don't expect them to last forever. Fresh springs of the correct size spring rate, etc have a place in the market. More racers are figuring this out, but not all racers have an alternative. If we can order custom springs at a reasonable cost, I think there will be a growing market.
It will require testing. Some people want someone else to figure their cars out for them on the internet and never test. Then they complain when others are faster.....:).

Hey I wanted to throw a little word out there that this year PAC is paying contingency for suspension springs as well as valve springs.

I would be interested in springs. The Moroso springs are not ideal in my opinion. This is from my experience with Fox body Mustangs.
