Re: Parking a Car Trailer
How big is your garage? We have a smaller steel open trailer. My brother backed it in the garage with the car on it. If you could do that, it might simplify things.

Re: Parking a Car Trailer
Dan----Bring it on down-----12 acres drop it anywhere-----or you could buy the place next door 36 acres. Firearms and dogs that run free are a requirement in my neighborhood. :-)

Re: Parking a Car Trailer
Dan, when I lived in a HOA .area in Northern VA. I had a 22 foot garage. After looking all over the DC area, I found a 18 foot, diamond plate floor, trailer with a 3 1/2 foot tongue (21 1/2 feet) at Perone Trailers in Laurel MD. Great trailer.

Re: Parking a Car Trailer
Suggestion!!!! My daughter has/had a similiar problem they ended up modifying the drawbar on their trailer into one that FOLDS!!! Now they can get the boat into the garage and close the door too!!! Not sure how much they cost but look up Fultonfold-away couplers part number HDP350101---this is for their biggest heavy duty one--Gross Trailer Weight of 9000 pounds which includes the trailer & whatever is on the trailer --it has a pivot length of up to 48 inches---

Re: Parking a Car Trailer
WOW.. great experiences and suggestions..
My garage is little over 20 ft. Barely long enough for the Impala SS. Barely wide enough to get the Dumbo Ear Side Mirrors in the garage. Have backed out a few time ripping them off. Carry Spares. My wife was looking for a nice mega house I was looking at large garages.. I can get away with a 18 ft trailer with the back end hanging over. Fortunately there are a lot of good trailer manufacturers. Will be skulking around Montgomery Co MD. Something will pop up . D |
Re: Parking a Car Trailer
X-2 on the smaller trailer. I custom ordered a "classic car hauler" from the dealer and I had them shorten it by 2' and narrow it by 6". It just fit in the single side door of my garage. The best part was I could back it in with the car on it unhook and shut the door. Was especially helpful after 1st round red light when I didn't want to look at the car. LOL
