Back when the fuel and pro stockers used to run at divisionals they really enjoyed the slight downhill at the finish line. Now the shutdown area feels like a motocross track to me.

The stands may be little league, like you say, but I'm guessing there is little concern, as I doubt they'll ever get enough fans in the stands to fill the place, even on their top draw nostalgia weekend. You saw how many were there on the National Open weekend, as far as paying spectators go,,, and in a word, there were few.

:o :o I agree that the stands are probably good enough because of low spectator counts. I was there yesterday and saw maybe 1/4 of the stands occupied. Saw some fast cars and talked with many friends (sorry you weren't there Danny). Listed on the schedule was a swap meet and car show, along with nostalgia cars. The nostalgia cars ran, but there was only 2 people in the swap meet and 2 cars that could have been in the car show. Did see the legend Jerry Ruth hanging around and talked with him for a short time. We experienced some rain that halted the action for awhile, but all in all it was a good show. The smell of alcohol (fuel type) in the air helped the show a lot. I hope they get a better turn out of spectators and even better weather for today. I can't make it back - oh well.

They get a decent fan turnout for the Nostalgia Race/ Cackelfest in August. I think that's their biggest.

Sorry I missed you, Ron. We were there on Sunday for points, of course,, made it to the semis, and my stupid thumb let go of the button too soon(bad thumb, bad thumb)!
Anyway,, maybe we'll cross paths before the season is out.

Danny, sorry about your thumb. Guess you should train it better. Thanks for asking about my wife. Joan is doing very well now. Being as productive as possible, working , being with grandkids and such.

:D:D:D On a side note I will be at Bremerton Raceway for the Nostalgia drags and Cacklefest on August 23 and 24. I talked with Barb and they want my Hotwheels based Drag Strip to be on display for the weekend. It was a hit last year and looking forward to being there again. I am not computer savvy so I can't include pictures here. If anyone wants to see a picture of the set-up from last year go to www.seeitimagery.com and look under Bremerton from last years show.

Dale,,, go back and re read my post,, # 15. Footbrake races are on Saturdays,, and points races are on Sundays, usually, double headers excepted. You can use trans-brakes, delay boxes, throttle stops and all the wizardry you want then.
I'm using a Biondo Terminator button on my shift console, thumb activated, for my transbrake. Hope this clarifies the situation. Good luck with your GT build.
