Sure. So long as the AHFS always applies to them at races where it applies to the rest of us.

I think AHFS should apply to all at every race . I believe the indexes will be in line with what the fastest cars in each of the new classes has ran .

Big question is why did NHRA not post them when the knew they were making new classes . Next question is what will the HP ratings be on these new FS cars . A 5.4L blown 2008 mustang in stock FS/A makes no where close to a 2014 coyote 5.0 with a 2.9 blower and runs 8.50 in FS/A

I think Don Fezell may disagree with that.

I think you have no idea what you are talking about as usual. Don has the fastest 2008 CJ out there no doubt about but you're a moron if you think he's anywhere close to a 2013-2014 Coyote.

Then run everything heads up with handicap start based off the index.

I agree

First of all NHRA has no desire or personnel to do that, secondly fields would drop off

I wouldn't tow across town with those parameters

Re: Indexes for New Classes

Why? 90% of the cars couldn't get near the record anyway?

What's the difference in running under or close too?

Instead of the qualifying sheet being minus whatever it would be + whatever and you would see more cars run wide open instead of trying to protect a combo

a win or the fans a win for the stripe racers (less brake pads to buy)

and a win for guys like me that have just one intention and one intention only.....to blow the current "record" completely into the weeds just to see how smart I am.:D

carry on

When I spoke to Don at the Dutch Classic, he told me that he is nowhere close to a Coyote.

Easy there, no need for the name calling. As usual? Please educate me if you think I don't know what I'm talking about. Obviously the 2.3L blower won't make as much as the 2.9L, but Fezell has been 8.50 (yes at a much lighter weight), quicker than any Coyote has been so far. I think "no where close" is a pretty big exaggeration.

Also, since the FS classes are now weight/hp based, will he not have a 38 hp x 6 lb/hp = 8 lb break against the 2014s?

Just asking so don't go off on me. Can say a 2008 put a 2014 engine in and just change the front and back a be a 2014? I saw where SAM swapped out the front and back to make a newer model with their Copo.
