I always enjoyed my time with Jim. He was a very smart man and he taught me a lot. He'll be missed.

A cool story about Jim i was testing my race car at Orange County Drag Strip I believe in the early 70's, . i broke my transmission and some one told me to call Jim . I did on a late Thursday night. he said no problem I will have one sent to you by Saturday morning . he did not know me from anyone sure enough on Saturday morning there was a brand new transmission at the airport . he did not even ask for any payment said call him after the races to pay . i will never forget that . He was a good man

very sad to hear Jim was one of the best supporters of our sport always interested in what you were up to helped us whenever he could i know the family will carry on the the tradition to the highest level god speed Steve Koppien and Family
