Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
Travis,
When these were ok 10 years ago, why were they un ok'ed 2 years ago? Do you have any reasoning for this? Tony |

Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
I drafted and sent a email addressed to Bruce with an official request to have aftermarket strut rods legalized in stock eliminator as a safety issue. I would like to encourage everyone else to do the same. Tom Nolan

I thought that Bruce retired earlier this year with
some health issues. |
Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
As far as I am concerned, if we are racing a 40-50 year old stocker or Super Stocker, why not be allowed to put in some parts that are newer/safer???? Personally, I trust the suspension parts of my 68 Dart, but......they are 47 years old. As long as the weight is OK, what difference does it make, other than they might be safer.

Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
OEM style replacement suspension parts are available to the general public. Even for 50 year old cars.

Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
Travis, from day 1, they were approved for Stock and Superstock. It was not just "where someone showed up" with them on a stocker. This goes back to Vegas over 10 years ago.

Re: Lobby for aftermarket strut rods for stock
Hey guys, don't just settle for aftermarket strut rods. I just sent an e mail asking for rack and pinion for my camaro stocker. I am sick and tired of dealing with this prehistoric front suspension. You know it's getting harder and harder to find parts for these older cars.M.J.
