Re: Aftermarket Steering Column
In lieu of the AN4 bolt that Pegasus recommends, use either an MS21250-04016 or NAS6204-16. They are built to the latest specification and 3 times stronger than the AN4 bolt.
The bolts shown above and in the links below, have a 1.0" grip. depending on the diameter of the joint and the spacers, the length may vary. You can use the AN365-428A nuts at the other end. You can also procure the fasteners from Aircraft Spruce. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Close-Tolera...item1e9ff8217b http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-MS21250-...00b5ac&vxp=mtr |
Re: Aftermarket Steering Column
I like the ones with the safety wire holes drilled. I'm a little hesitant about buying those off of ebay. You never know, they could be Chinese knock offs.
Do you know a vendor that comes to mind? I really appreciate the help. This makes me a whole lot more comfortable with this deal. |

Re: Aftermarket Steering Column
This raises a the question: can I replace my entire steering column with an aftermarket column (Idit,or some other manufacturer ) or one from another model of car? I really could use a tilt column to ease getting into the car.
