The racers are already there.
Several years ago, they ran the pros only on the original race weekend, then ran the sportsman the following weekend. They did that because the dirt parking areas were too wet and muddy to use for sportsman rigs.

A few years before that, they were not able to finish the race until Wednesday because of rain.

NHRA needs to postpone this race. this is crazy, is this true, you have to go get teched in to be eligible to race if it is postponed??????
say I wasn't coming till Thursday morning and they decide to call it tomorrow then what?

Just looking at the weather. There is some storm by Florida that might go North then East or West. One program has it going to NJ and the other has it going out to sea. If it drifts West, NHRA needs to pull the plug and run.

Not to worry, little piece of land we live on stuck out in the ocean with a bulls-eye on it, we'll take the hit and knock some power out of it for yall! Shouldn't be much more than some scattered showers by the time it gets up there lol.

If I remember correctly, they finished on Wednesday in 2007 when the race was in August.
