Apparently there is some sort of importance to that date but I'm looking at both events having the best success that they can have. Hope it works out! Please keep me updated.

I'm all in coming to Coastal Plains but Elk Creek has had the flyers and the promotion out for some time........may want to rethink that ...... Elk Creek may be just enough west not to hurt the east side of I-40 but there is not much time to get the word out ???

I knew Allen for years and would love to come. That isnt a good date though. Sometime in November would be much better and probably draw more cars.

Allan's widow wants that date. ( she has her reasons ) Ronnie Humphrey is talking to her to see if she is ok with another date........will try to reschedule ....or they may just have the normal bracket race..I'm not sure........I hope to let everyone know in next day or so....,thanks for the input, I appreciate it.

Allen's wife wants August 13 to be a special night.....so she asked Ronnie Humphrey to please go ahead and have the race.....so anyone who's not planning on going to Elk Creek please consider joining us.

Barring anything unforseen I will be there. I really wouldn't think the event at Elk Creek would affect this that much being they're about 7 hours apart.

Hey gang.

NO race this weekend.

Allen's widow decided she would rather wait for another " cooler " and convenient date.
So the Humphrey's will let us know when she decides.

I hope this doesn't mess anyone's plans up....

Hey Doyle ---- That's good news. We really wanted to come pay our respects, see some old friends and support this race. Depending on the date we can bring two maybe three cars. Danny :-)
