Racing seats can save quite a bit. Lithium battery will save at least 40 lbs on the nose of a stocker.

The '67 six cylinder sub frames were sought after at one time as they were supposedly 20lbs light than the V-8 frame, I never weighed them to verify. They are easily identified due to not having the large holes on the inside near the bumper brackets.

I have 2 67's and one has the large holes in the subframe and one does not. The early car does not have them and they are both original V8 cars. I was told this was done midway in the 67 production for bumper bracket access.

The '67 subframe legend was started to cover up some chemically milled parts. If the aura of "unique" parts is attached to some identifying factor, people tend to not look at other possibilities. Hence, the '67 6 cylinder subframes, the 520 "T" heads, etc.

Once you have changed out brakes battery and other bolt in components you need to search in every where in the car and remove any little thing . A pound here and there adds up not easy but I can get my nova to the Fsa minimum 200 lb driver. Every little bit counts.

I know this is an old post . As James mentioned , its surprising what things weigh... I had Moroso chrome valve covers and the fancy steel hold downs, the covers alone where over 9 pounds each .

James, I need a little ballast to E weght with a 295 motor with my 225 but in the seat. If people cant get their car to minimum they havnt worked and cleaned hard enough.

You don't need to ad 310, you need to move 75-100 to get where you want, maybe even less if its in the right spots
