Tech-less racing will be very close to honor among thieves. The Tech people make all this class racing mean something, if we loose them we will loose "Class racing"!

I don't even see how a rational person can even consider the idea, it is devoid of common sense.

No tech = bracket racing and you know how class racers feel about that.

I don't give a **** either way as some have previously stated that if you're red you don't deserve to win. Here's a novel idea, don't red light and let the pigeon next to you do it so there is no argument. I find it ironic that the people that do most of the winning do the least of the talking. I believe that IF you changed this rule, the same people will continue to win and the same will continue to lose. What would be the new excuse...I redlit first but so did the other guy but mine was worse so I still lost. If you politicians spent as much time on your practice tree as you do your keyboard you might actually surprise yourself. Please find something constructive to do with your time as all of the self legislating is killing this sport and driving people away. Yeah, I need lots of help so don't bother.

If your belief is that nothing will change with the implementation of Tru-Start, why not let it happened????????????

Remember when everybody was up in arms about Auto-Start and nobody even thinks about it anymore????????????

This could possibly be invisible and at the same time correct a long running problem???????

I also remember and raced with a flagman start. The flagman would move the slower car down the track based a guess of what the performance change would be. First car to the finish line would be the winner. NO RED LIGHTS & NO BREAKOUTS. I think that the handicap start is the fairest way for a faster car to race a slower car. But we are NOT done yet, not without Tru-Start.....

The people who talk about how is was, just seem to forget about how unfair it was....

Bob, reread my post, I don't care if it's there or not, won't effect how I race. I actually think it will help my program as I will no longer be"enticed" to give a gander to the other side of the tree as there will be nothing there. It will allow me to focus what little attention span I have on what matters most. My point is that when the dust settles, what crutch will the guys that lose now use for an excuse if this is implemented as it will take away from the basis of their argument. Any ideas cause they ain't gonna say I just got my *** whooped??

Alan, Maybe I missed it, but did you see anyone in the previous thread complaining about personally losing a S/SS race by having the lesser of two red lights?
Jody Lang was mentioned in the first thread /post. He says he's for Tru -Start, but I haven't seen him complaining about the current system .I'm sure he'll do just fine, whether they change it or not.
Who else?
Do you think there might be a few guys here who are in favor of this change because they think it would be good for the sport ,.... just as there are guys who are AGAINST because of their own personal agenda?

Mark, the entire thread and its previous versions is about the ongoing complaint that the slow car is at a disadvantage versus the faster car in regards to the Christmas Tree. Would you agree? If not then I've completely missed the point of the over 400 reply's on this topic over the last couple of years and would ask for your help in explaining to me what the true outcry of these threads are.

I don't know what's in anyone's mind...especially Mickey's. LOL ...but I did offer a suggestion in my last post.

If we're worried about what is good for the sport, this is pretty low on the list of things that might be of any help.

I agree, Alan but it seems like it would be an Earth shattering change to a few on here.
Like I said five years ago, it's gonna happen eventually ..I just hope nobody has a coronary over it.
