These 2 people were one of the main reasons we enjoyed going to the track. The nicest people at the races and quite frankly some of our best friends. When the arraingements become availible someone please post them so we can make travel plans.

Thanks,

Jonathan,Don Lensch and Mark Dickerson F/SA 1114

This is very sad. This is a classic thing I see all to often, trying to avoid hitting an animal, and hitting a tree, guard rail ect. , only this time the outcome was the worst it could be. Even though it's human nature to not hit the animal, it's not always the best choice.

Man, that is a shame. He was a really nice guy and good drag racer with a really cool and fast hemi car. We had a couple of very close races against eachother in IHRA competition.
This kind of stuff is part of life, but that doesn't make it any easier.

God Bless.

Im so sorry to hear this. I deal with this all the time and it never gets easy. As mentioned above it is better to just hit whatever is there and get it stopped the best you can. Usually vehicles that try to avoid hitting an animal overcorrect and end up overturning. I work a lot of fatality crashes because of this. God Bless them.

That's just awful news. I loved seeing the great cars they raced and always thought of them whenver I passed the Wellsville exit sign when I drove west on I-86.
