Re: No Tech At NHRA Events
Inspection = 100% Included ~ Static / Non Changing
Audit = Random Selection ~ Dynamic / Changing Tech Inspection (key word inspection) implies 100% of vehicles are included in the inspection process, which they are. Fair statement? What happens during this process is an audit. Obviously, officials looking over vehicles cannot inspect for 100% compliance to every NHRA specification. During the audit, they scrutinize critical safety aspects first and foremost. It is usually left to the officials discretion to decide how he / she wishes to procede with validating conformance to technical specifications. The beauty of the audit process is its efficient and unpredictable. They do not publicize exactly what they are going to focus on, because that is all we would focus on. |

Re: No Tech At NHRA Events
Every car has to get a tech officials blessing. Exactly how they decide to award that blessing varies.
Some keep it visual, limiting what they check to what they can see while doing a walk around. Others like to be more hands on. Long story short; the time it takes, the number of officials involved, what is looked at, etc, etc....it varies, as it should. |
Re: No Tech At NHRA Events
There is no tech. Because NHRa Has No Help.
The real question is. Who is racing with bogus combo I believe there have been 2 racers who broke motors and changed them during the events went many rounds Did any official check to see if said motor belonged in the car? NEXT. |
