The quality and location of the track PA has a lot to do with reception on the one I have. It's clear at Bremerton Raceway which is located at an airport and not as easily locked at Pacific Raceways. That doesn't really make sense to me. Lots of air traffic at the club operated track and fairly quiet at the suburban located Pacific. I wear hearing aides and track PA systems are a pain in the arse for me.

When the timing system goes down at Bremerton I can listen to the small plane chatter...

I took Dale's advice, and ordered the one he recommended. Used it first time at Norwalk at the NMCA. The thing worked great. It is small but powerful. Little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Glad that worked out for you. I was nervous recommending it to you because it was a good chunk of cash.

I just ordered a C Crane radio as well. Thank you for the recommendation!

User report: 3 races, Bowling Green Tri-Five Chevy gathering, no work, but neither did our truck radio
Brainerd worked perfect
Indy worked perfect
Clear no static
Size is great
Took it to staging in car & listened to race results
Love it

I was wondering about Bowling Green...it has the worst radio broadcast of any place I have ever been and the place I need it most. Sounds like no radio is going to solve the issues there. :(
