How can you not appreciate this young mans career already. wins in anything hes ever driven.
Wish I had 1/4 his skill.

If this were Nascar, he would be more famous than Jeff Gordon.

Most people underestimate Peter's ability. It isnt all just driving, but in that department he is simply remarkible. His "science" of setting up a car is second to none. He knows the probabilities of success doing things this way or that way that most racers completely ignor. Most people also ignor the contribution of Phil Monteith. Just think if you had a very smart retired seasoned and completely selfless engineer setting up the car every run exactly the way Peter wants. It is a finely tuned machine fit for the record books.

You are really right about Phil (electrical engineers have never been known for a lack of smarts and he is a genuine nice guy_I'll always remember the way he saved my *** when i did something stupid the first time i crewed for Al Ackerman), but Peter never forgets to acknowledge the contributions of Phil as well as the guy who prepares his stocker.

I agree !!!! Peter Biondo may be the 'BEST' sportsman racer I have ever seen, his winning record speaks for itself.....has WON Indy 4 times, and countless other big races. EDIT: I was not sure, someone else said 'has WON Indy 6 times

EDIT#2: has now Won Indy 7 times.....WOW

Congrats to Jim Boudreau for his fine performance @ Indy. It took Mr. Biondo to stop him and that is certainly nothing to feel bad about.

Johnny and Castle 5,

I think you guys are way over your heads !!! When its all said and done Peter will go down as the Best Sportmen Race of our time.. Not taking anything away from the great drivers out there, but he's the best right now and getting better... What's the differance if he's driving a Stick or an Auto, he's WINNING in everycar he drives... How many races have you guys even WON ??
Give the guy his Dew, just look at what he has done in all kinds of cars / rails, etc.. I don't know how anyone can question what he has done as a racer... Get Serious ! ! !

Let's not lose our minds here: This is not NASCAR. Not even close.

But it's not an unreasonable question. Has this fellow ever driven a stick? Is he any good at it?

No one is trying to be a smart alec.
