They already did that at the 2017 Houston national event, but they ran their deal Friday and were pitted among the sportsman racers.

Not too worried about them pushing out the Lucas Oil sportsmen racers; they make too much money on their own. Why in their right minds would they give NHRA a cut of the action when Street Outlaws and all these underground video productions give them the exposure they want?

Plus not having some organization dictating to them on how, when and where they race.

As for CP, they're running a poll about making National Events two day affairs. Gee, wonder who would suffer under that plan? It's not hard to see NHRA doing exactly that....Fuel, Pro Mod, Factory Stock, Harley Fuel and a few other exhibition classes. Hope I'm wrong but would not be surprised.

Nitro, Nitro and more Nitro oh and Pro Mod.

Was at the Houston race last year when at least one of the Street Outlaw guys was there. The yellow Mustang, Boosted, had trouble on his first run. After they ran we went over to see the car. He had a crew member working with a lap top in the passenger seat and Boosted was under the hood. NHRA guy comes up on a scooter and says " You got 10 minutes to be at the head of the lanes ready to race" Boosted goes into an explanation of why he needs time to fix what was wrong with his first run. NHRA guy's answer? "You got 8 minutes to be at the head of the lanes ready to race" I was standing right there and had to turn around before I laughed out loud. Welcome to NHRA.

If you were in their position, and the parts you were given could not be made to make enough parts to run as fast as everybody else, you would change camps too. Who is the fast Dodge now, that wind races? Nobody wants to keep being embarrassed because somebody was nice to you.

The Freeman family is all good people. I admire them. Erica is a sweet young lady. Wish I could drive like her.

Ed, have all the respect in the world for Erica. Just didn’t like the way the Johnsons got shuffled out on the Mopar deal. Think the 10,500 RPM limit was just as much a factor as parts but even with that Allen and Roy outran them. Never heard Allen badmouth Mopar, can’t say the same for Elite. Think the feud with the Gray camp was bad for all of them. Meanwhile the KB camp keeps rolling. In any case, when the curtain finally drops on PS there will be plenty of blame to go around and who knows what all kind of backstage crap has gone on. Just know the “any body” rule is the last straw in my book.
