I agree with Ross. There are lots of guys in the LS world turning 8000 rpm with the LS7 lifters. I run them in my turbo car and also in another friends car turn over 7000 with them and have had zero issues. His car we've run an open road race with 60 miles and run a couple half mile shootouts with it as well and the lifters have been the least of our worries. They are a good affordable option.

If you are looking for a good cheep LS lifter the Stock LS7’s are hard to beat for the price. I would be shocked if you can find only 12 just buy 16 and call it a day.

The op has already stated he only wants to buy 12, not 16...as for as CHEEP, now you maybe onto something.....LOL.

Okay guys, My way of thinking is 1 spare or 4 spares are still not enough.
If a roller axle comes apart, you are going to need at least 12 spares for a V6.

Not looking for off shore cheap. Just trying to save my customer from buying another $80 worth of lifters that he'll never use.

Looking at Morel lifters through Bullet Cams, maybe.
What do we know about them?

Get the genuine GM LS7's you can get a set of 16 from several different suppliers all for about $150. The car we have run the open road race with. That has 9000 miles on it now with those lifters in it making just shy of 900hp. Mine is making between 900-1000hp and it has about 1000 miles and approx 60 runs on them and look great. Realistically unless you are doing something exotic with the combo or really pushing things to the limit they'll work just fine. Yes you'll have 4 extra but for the price who cares.
I know there are several guys that run a couple different versions of the Morels but I don't have any first hand experience with them so can't add anything to that. The Johnson's are a very nice lifter but are quite a bit more expensive then the LS7's and again you'd get 16.

Is there a reason you want to stay with a hydraulic lifter ? Solid lifters are lighter , and are now legal in Stock .

Yes, actually there is. This little freshen up became quite a bit more involved in other areas. I plan on putting the same cam back in , in the same exact place, with the same non adjustable factory roller rockers.
The lifters have many years and many runs on them. Just looking for the peace of mind in that area.
