To add a question into this mix, I have a customer with a McClay 200 he likes to stage at a low rpm, when he hits to trans brake button the car will roll forward. If you bring the RPMs up to 2000 while rolling in to stage it is ok. anybody else fighting this.

I switched to PRO TRANS and was very satisfied so I bought a second one. Sepanek maintains them, you will never find a more reasonable and trusting guy than Jack. Give him a call, he services and builds all types of transmissions and he would be the best one to give you advise on your question. 570-457-6517

I understand, but did you have a 904 ? Chevy stuff is different with t200 and t350 pro trans.

We run 727 and 904 in our stock or SS stuff/ Glide in No Prep.

i believe low pump pressure, causes it.

I had a T350 with a low volume front pump that did that. Had to hold the foot brake, rev it to 2500 to set the trans brake. My Pro Trans does none of that. Sits right where I push the trans brake button. That works better, it's quicker, I can not think of a thing I would change. Maybe the price. LOL. Just kidding. Well worth the price as well.

Again, all good people mentioned here so far.
Not mentioned is Leo G. (Remac)
Leo has the cojones to run a 200 behind a 428 Pontiac Super Stocker.
Believe me,..that's an endurance test.

I experienced the "jump" you're talking about with McClay 200s. Called Scott and he confirmed that his trans brake must "fill" before it will hold absolutely tight. Not the greatest feature in the world, but once you get used to clicking the transbrake button right when you light the second yellow and immediately bringing the RPM up to around 2500, you won't experience the condition again. Having said that, I have never heard anyone that said a 200 and a ProTrans are equal in ET (users always say the ProTrans is quicker).

This was an issue with powerglides when I ran the super classes, what we would do is wire the line loc into the transbrake so that when you engaged the transbrake it would activate the front line loc to stop it from rolling.
