Will the Mustang have to move up to R/SA?

Re: '76 302 gets +11 HP
Wouldn't anywhere between -1.093 and-1.199 have accomplished the same #1 position without the 11 horsepower?
Already beat to death one combo with the Maverick (according to the for sale advertisement) why do it again? |
Re: '76 302 gets +11 HP
Because she can. That combo has many variables within it's engine/body style. The Graham's have run under so many times and just blast the index, I believe that they just like running fast and darn the index. A true sportsman in a performance category. Maybe Billy Nees or Mr Graham can tell us all the possible combos for just U/SA with that Ford. They can run one combo into oblivion and just change to another variable. My hats off to them. It is not their fault that NHRA has set that engine HP rating.

Re: '76 302 gets +11 HP
I’ve had the privilege of racing with the Graham’s for the last 3 years and I must say they are definitely the nicest and hardest working people I know in stock and super stock. Congrats on winning class and qualifying # 1 in Vegas! Good luck at the division race this weekend see you guys next week!
