Re: Mustang Ecoboost Stock Eliminator
Another good one to look up is the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky deal. 2.0 Ecotech combo.

Re: Mustang Ecoboost Stock Eliminator
My guess is that whoever got that EB combo approved is already building one.
Reminds me of that 2017 Focus RS that got put into the classification guide recently and then one shows up at a Division event shortly thereafter |
Re: Mustang Ecoboost Stock Eliminator
Serious question on the factory turbo setups...
I know on all these new blown setups they watch the pulley size.. or at least check the the pulley is engraved the correct diameter. How do they keep the boost numbers in check on the turbo cars? I've heard of these deals driving to the track with headers, a little extra boost, and a tune and running in the 10's.... Brad |

There is a spec on compressor wheel diameter and compressor housing diameter. When my turbo gets checked out during tear down a set of inside calipers are used to check the inlet diameter. NHRA specs say a max of 2 mm diameter over stock. NHRA has this 2015 Mustang sheet listed as a 2017 but it shows the turbo specs http://i65.tinypic.com/33nxm61.jpg edit to add the spec book wording on turbos... TURBOCHARGERS Turbocharger size will be verified by measuring the housing bore at the leading edge of the impeller wheel. The maximum diameter of the housing bore at the leading edge of the wheel may not exceed 2mm more than the maximum allowable turbocharger size permitted. |

Re: Mustang Ecoboost Stock Eliminator
It is a 50th Anniversary car too. Yours must be a 5.0. Ours doesn't have the line lock. At least I haven't found it yet.
