Looks like there is a pull-down tab where it can be upgraded to 1-3/4"x.083" Chrome-moly tubing for an additional $353 ($575 total). And I could probably just leave the two short diagonals out, leaving me with a lighter (but still NHRA-legal) 6-point roll bar. |

Wolfe Racecraft builds the nicest and best fitting roll bar for the Mustang with a lot of options. http://www.wolferacecraft.com/detail.aspx?ID=277 |

Re: 2015 Mustang Ecoboost K/SA?
If I was going to build one I would go ahead and put the full roll cage in it, its going to end up there any way.

Watson makes a chrome-moly 6-point bolt-in roll bar, but it's 1-5/8" tubing, so it wouldn't be NHRA legal, and it has a road-race type diagonal within the main hoop, which is unnecessary for this purpose. |

As Mark pointed out, it's unfortunate that NHRA even requires a roll bar (along with a 3.2A/1 suit and 16.1 harness), for a mid-12 second car. |
Re: 2015 Mustang Ecoboost K/SA?
Perhaps a good reason for a roll bar in a "Slower Car" would be racing against 170mph "Stockers"
