Beautiful cars each and every one, but let play the grinch here.
Fans think they are looking at a show car instead of a race car.
If we are going to sell Stock Eliminator, race cars need to look
like race cars. Check this thread of 479 pages.

Just my humble opinion.

Pete, I really don't think that there is a problem with "selling" Stock Eliminator to the Fans. I don't believe that there is one single Stock Eliminator racer out there that can't tell stories of the Fans who's Father/ Teacher/ Great Aunt Suzy had a car just like his. Stock Eliminators strength is in the Fans ability to relate to our Racecars. Yeah, even COPOs and CJs.
We need to figure out how to "sell" Stock Eliminator to the NHRA's B.O.D..

When someone figures it out, please put it in the thread.
Thank you, Mike

Going to have to agree with Pete here.
With all due respect to my friend Denny Ford here, his beautiful 62 doesn't look much like a race car to me...Not like this one:

Mark, you just need to see a good wheels-up video with the sound cranked way up.

I'm sure you're right..It's just when I see 62 409 Chevies, I think of Jenkins, Pizzi, K&G Speed Associates ,etc. ;-)

I believe that you will find that when alot of us grew up, many of these cars roamed the streets. So that seeing a lettered up race car would catch our attension. Now for the younger generation seeing a clean looking muscle car at the track that they would rarely see on the street is a treat. Moreso than one covered in decals.

I partnered on this with Mike Smith for a few years in the 90's. It was just finished in this shot. We did "sticker it up". I liked it better plain.
