What do you guys think of the 2019 GT going into the guide. It looks to be a good combo, as you can can see from the video below, its pretty fast stock. I know the Camaro street version gets a 9 inch rear, but :) I think they should keep the street cars exactly like the way they came from the factory as far as the drivetrain goes :).

Sounds like a proposal for new class " Factory Pure Stock "

I love the idea but I doubt no one at NHRA is interested in more classes...

There is a pent up need! Most are doing just T&T.
Great for class competition and Street Heads Up using Pure Stock Rules.
You can do this locally like it use to be.
Even the mundane cars run 15 seconds.

Tracks are shutting down the ET/MPH boards so some of the real fast cars can get a few runs in.

WOW-that video is amazing-I want one! wait-there are no racetracks closer than 4 hours of ugly traffic from me-that's why I don't race my GTO....still what a car!

It sounds to me like he was trying to cram the converter too much as well. Perhaps trying to launch about 1200-1400 would have helped the 60" times. Also, once the E 85 tune went in, that is when it started chattering the tires-why not try the drag radials again? Maybe they did and it slowed the car down, and they just didn't show it.
