Re: High rpm 427 bbc build 940hp?
When I ran a short stroke I shifted 9400-9600 but never knew how much power 440" motor made. Did not have the $$ to dyno. Biggest problem was the valve train. Was fortunate to have a few really sharp guys help me out.

Re: High rpm 427 bbc build 940hp?
We had a customer that purchased the 402ci D/SM (at the time) from JEG in the mid 1990's. That engine dyno'd at +900hp. I was working at Kromerkraft at the time and we built a set of headers for that engine and gained 5hp. I remember somewhere around 940 or 950 back then.

I'd like to look at those heads , because its highly unlikely , no , make that definitely NOT anything close to what AFR produced...so this suggestion is somewhat "misleading". The only thing AFR 315 about those heads is the casting. Contemporary t-ram / carbs , vac pump and all the other bells and whistles ..... |

Tony Mamo did the heads. Never witnessed it or had anything to do with it. |

Not quite sure what your problem is with me or Mamo but it was just a simple discussion. Weather it happened or did not does not matter. Some say yes it is doable but not meant to be a debate. |
