I’m sorry, John. I don’t recall a MOPAR through my shop with a Quadrajet. Maybe it was “a California thing”? Due to their emissions restrictions, I saw a lot of California vehicles come through with different carburetors, etc. Certainly had much less spark advance. Very different advance curves in their distributors. Much of my business in the late ‘60s & ‘70s was “re-curving” distributors for performance & gas mileage. Very easy to pick up a CA vehicle 5 mpg. Taking away spark advance to lower HC emissions was a very common thing. That also kills drivability, power and gas mileage. There was a big fire at the plant where Rochester built carburetors, so GM had Carter build Quadra jets for a while. Carter would likely be the source for Q-Jets for MOPAR. Hard for me to imagine GM providing carbs to MOPAR. Old as I am, I have not seen everything.

I always wondered why Carter built so many Quadrajets for Delco Rochester.

The instructor at the GM Training Center, in Oklahoma City, told me about the fire.

I think it was '70 429 Cobra Jets that had a Q-Jet, too. Not sure what the SCJ had. Holley?

Dave Gantz, 429 CJ had Qjet and SCJ had a funky Holley on them. I have a 1970 Cobra SCJ sitting in the shop right now waiting for the owner to come up with the correct carb. The feed line from front to back is different from most.
