I don't see it either, but I am hoping that there is class because Indy just isn't Indy without class

I see the current info shows no class schedule at all. Today Brian and Phil answered my question directly that there will be Class at Indy. Saying it will most likely be the only event with it. Also saying there will be updates to event schedules......just passing along what they said to us......

Well we have one racer telling us that there won't be class at Indy and another one says there will be. Who do we believe????? I sure do hate rumors!

I found the quota for stock and super stock at indy is still 160 entries each like last year, not likely they would drag all of us there without having class. Everything is subject to change !

Hey Marty they are both credible sources. Well as credible as can be expected. The link was from NHRA, not me. Hope there is class. Indy isn’t Indy without it.

Brian and Phil on the youtube broadcast without a doubt said there would be class racing at Indy. Phil stated that some would rather win class at Indy than win a national event.

Not saying either is wrong and I also did hear them say Class would be run at Indy on the video but, we all know Class at Indy is an all day event, usually one day for stock, one day for super stock giving each class a day off in between for tear downs. Indy has now been shortened by 2 days, chopping out Wednesday and Monday. You now have the Jegs All Stars added which sometimes takes most of Saturday up when it was in Chicago. I did hear a rumor that Super Street might be added to the list because 8 - 10.90 guys will already be there for the All-Stars and heard they might add a 40-50 car field (rumor) to run for a once in a lifetime “Indy Wally”. You also have TD & TS added last year in which we all know for us .90 races resulted in one of the normal time runs being yanked from us last year along with the parking disaster.

So what I think will happen is the top qualifier in each class will get a class trophy once qualifying is done. This way they can say they still had class at Indy and not ruin tradition of running class at the BIG GO. I’m sure they want to make it sound like they’re running Class because it will make that 160 car quota fill up fast. We’ve already heard on here that if class didn’t happen a lot of you were staying home, so you dangle the carrot and when you get there you find out it’s the fastest car per class. Just my 2 cents but, what do I know I’m just a .90 guy...lol
