Crowe safety does as well. I sent mine back last spring.

I just called RCI, and the nice lady on the phone said now it takes 2-3 weeks, more time as the year goes on, so don't wait too long. John Kissel

Re: Seat Belt Recertification

I just put a new set of belts in my car yesterday. I counted 6 sets of belts on the shelf in the shop that were out dated. Seems like a waste. The cost to ship and recert is as much as a brand new set from what I have seen. And less hassle.

Sell your outdated belts on EBay. There is a market for them there.

Expired belts can be sold easily to most entry level circle track racers as they don't have to abide by the 2-yr. certification. I've done it on multiple occasions.

Sell your old belts to 4 weeler guys and buy some pro 1s. You won’t be disappointed

I usually sell the Lever/Latch type belts at Swap meets ($40.00) However we have 3 sets of Cam-locks from different manufacturers that have expired...

Again, Thanks for all the replies :)

find someone that races at your local dirt track. Put the word out that you have old belts to sell . You won't have any trouble getting rid of them after that.

New belts are $65 dollars, doesn’t seem to make sense to try to recertify for the same price if not more, maybe for a manufacturer that pays contingency but otherwise I don’t see the cost advantage

Yeah, I always found it rather odd that the belts in my car that never hit the wall or another car are not good enough for more than 2 years, but perfectly fine to sell to racers that do that on a regular basis!
