I have a set of old S/S ported but not welded 041 heads and was wondering about compression

"scraping your heads with a spokeshave to get to the proper cc's is a pain in the Arse for sure !! "

On an angle would get them CC's down but not with a "spokeshave"...lol

I'm going with the 85B ....

I was pitted next to some guy with a 307 Nova in Gainesville a few years ago and he only had one header on the car??

An 041 head is a 350 head. Are you asking about putting an 041 head on a 307? If you are, then it would wind up being pretty much the same as a 73/307.

Trying to get a estimate of what the compression might be small chambers 1970 block

You might end up with about 8.5-1. If I might make a suggestion? Put a 305 head on it. Even a small valve 305 head would make for a nicer driver than the 041 head.

Re: 307 sbc head

Already have the 041 head and might build something a little bigger later the 307 has a lot of miles on it
