Made mine from some clear brush finish aluminum had around as drops. Many bought them from Ed Quay in PA

Got mine from Steve also, works great and looks good. Just told him it was a 3rd gen and they were shipped to me within a few days.

Yes Yac, it actually works just as good taking the rubber off after the burnout. I'm really not sure what causes the chips in the paint ? Jim

Jim, The reason I asked is because the o/p asked who made the burn out guards or shields that keep the rubber from getting on the quarters..not how do you get it off afterwards.
Seems to me that cars without them, get the back flanged edge of the wheel opening beat up , if nothing else. Guys that have raced at Tucson won't wonder where the chips come from ;-)

Mother’s makes a spray product specifically made for removing rubber. It’s called R-3.
