I do not consider my combo to be slow but it is not the fastest combo in K or L. There are some under rate combo's in K and L that I can not run with but hopefully run fast enough to give them a strike or possibly make them run 1.20 under for HP. Yes I have made fast runs with my car and have worked dam hard to make it that fast. I did not buy a 1 under car, I built a 1 under car. Since I have been racing this car it has not had HP removed. Where can you see if HP was reduced? I am asking because I dont know, that would be interesting to look at. I dont have a master plan, I just dont think the AHFS will not work and do what it is supposed to do by evening out the feild if over half the runs are not used in the AHFS. We are all playing by the same rules some just do it better then others. I have played by the rules yes. I am glad to see class being run at divisional, because in the northwest we have to travel a long way to go run class. Remember this is a performance base class. |
Re: Mineshaft facts
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but mineshaft conditions in Stock/Superstock don’t prevent you from getting your index looked at or horsepower added. If you go 1.2 under I think you still get hit. Now comp eliminator is a different story. But I could be wrong.

Your car got HP off in the letter writing days. 5hp off twice. Pretty sure a good 5.0 will run with most any K-L car. There are a few exceptions that have gotten a lot of welfare. Maybe a 400 car lying in the weeds too. |
Re: Mineshaft facts
How to tell if a combination has had a Hp adjustment. Look at the mid year and end of year adjustments on the NHRA Competition site under news archives. Or look in the Stock Car Class Guide at each an Hp at the bottom of engine combo for that platform.

Re: Mineshaft facts
Remember if your combo has ever received a HP increase above the factory rating it can never get a reduction. Not sure why they started this a few years ago. Makes no sense.

I gave my opnion on why mineshaft should be removed and all the 1 second under runs should count to make the AHFS work more effectively. I also presented facts on 1 second under runs that over half of them were mineshaft. Here are some more facts that include both of us in mineshaft condition From Indy 10 2007 FS/E Daren Poole-Adams, Shelby NC, '19 Camaro 9.914 10.95 -1.036 2007 Daren Poole-Adams -1.052 2007 Daren Poole-Adams -1.002 Would you consider Indy to be mineshaft conditions? I also see you went 1 under at a Div 2 race and Atlanta National so you are up for review. From Boise 3 6052 L/SA James Boyce, Duvall WA, '88 Mustang 11.834 13.01 -1.176 6052 James Boyce -1.021 You mentioned a my situation, I dont know what you are implying, or what you are talking about. I looked in the stock car classification guide My combo, the year of my car has not been hit with HP. A 1992 Mustang had an adjustment to it. I could have been a clairical error that NHRA fixed? If sombody knows who went fast in 2019 let me know. The stick combo has been hit. As far as lots of cars running my combo, There is not a lot of them, maybe 10 and in differant years from 88 to 93 |
