Re: Clarification Needed - Pro Invitation Race in Florida
Hats off to Bo & Co. Thank you.
Race sounds great for those invited and accept. Good luck to all those participating. ***If you were not invited, no need to comment. If you were invited and are declining to go...again, no need to comment. NOTE: If you haven't been invited or contacted, you probably wont be... We should just be happy that there are people out there willing to put their time, effort and money into having races for stock and super stock competitors. Bo's race, Bo's rules. You don't like the rules, platform, or any other processes that are involved...than make your own race, rules and see how it goes! |
Re: Clarification Needed - Pro Invitation Race in Florida
Well, the post once again is getting amusing. Frankly, i am confused (no side comments regarding my state of mind).
Why build a "class" car - and not have a hope of winning a class heads up? Who cares about someone going fast at this race? Doesn't count and no validation. Reminder that we have joined a heads up class. I get the enviroment that we're in. Because of rule changes, additional classes (by NHRA and racers pushing their own agenda and need for protection from fast cars in their class), diminishing car counts etc which all lead to reduced opportunities and degredation for heads up. Why help it along? No qualifying? No chance to land a heads up? How about we eliminate 1/2 of all NHRA stock and ss classes and .5 difference in weight breaks where possible. Comp is different isnt it? Fast guy wins. Maybe SS and Stock should go back to running off of national records? I don't know. Maybe it's time to start a new class and call it something like ss b(for brackets - no heads up)? Gaf - of all people who supports class racing - need i remind you how hyped up you get over class. I'm going to need to talk to the boss and see if we should continue supporting Top Qualifier in D2. From reading the board i get the feeling like "who cares". Volkman 412.651.2356 |
Re: Clarification Needed - Pro Invitation Race in Florida
Make Class racing great again proposal. fastest 4 Cars for each class, say A thru D stock, 4 from A thru D stock automatic 4 cars from A thru D super stock and 4 cars from A thru D automatic super stock. 32 cars total. Each class races off heads up until you get to 8 cars left, then handicapped off class index (alternate handicap based on fastest run in each class)
I would love to see 24 heads up races (16 1st round 8 second round) with the fastest invite cars. |
Re: Clarification Needed - Pro Invitation Race in Florida
