The difference between the Caregiver Program and Aid and Attendance: The Caregiver Program is a program that pays the family member for the care of a Disabled Veteran. The compensation is based on the pay of equal to that of a GS-4 government worker. The Aid and Attendance Program brings medical personnel into your home daily to attend to the needs of the Disabled Veteran. The amount of disability compensation is increased to pay for that care.
No decrease in a Disabled Veteran's compensation is ever made. |
