I remembering going to the Spring Nationals in Columbus with dad about 1980. I had my tape recorder with me and recorded the cars going down the track. My favorite car to listen to was Ronnie Trafenstedt's modified production Corvette. I had that tape up until about 2000. I don't know what I did with it. I need to check my radio in the garage later today.
I would love to see and hear the restored Ault & James 63 Vette run through the gears again. |

From the staging lanes or the grandstands. Nothing ha@ ever beat the sound of being there live! Not then, not now.

The World Finals aired on Thanksgiving Day(?) in the early seventies. Including the Sportsman classes!
